C olonial French Captain Pierre St. Paul, Sieur de la Motte is credited with establishing the first European settlement in the State of Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain in 1665. Named for this ambitious French captain who later became governor of Montréal, this large and luxurious suite is decorated in an appropriate colonial style.
